Episode 7, and go!
  1. Lorelei going commando (gasp!)
  2. Rory sneaking around to do laundry, totally fitting.

  5. His argument with Taylor is clearly more important!
  6. Luke: “No tip?” Lorelei: “Oh yeah, here’s a tip, serve your customers.” Luke: “Here’s another, don’t sit on any cold benches.”

  8. A pop? My grandmother called it that! I thought it was a mid-west thing.
  9. OH! A KISS!
  10. Thank you? Really Rory, the awkwardness is unreal.
  11. Uh, did she steal the cornstarch??
  12. Lane: “You got the new kid? Oh, My God!”
  13. Mrs. Kim: “Who Kissed you?” Lane:” The lord mama.” Mrs. Kim: “oh, ok.”
  14. Dear Rory, your mama already knows.
  15. Tupperware! Soup Mug. I have that one.
  16. I think many of these brands of food are from Walmart brand… I think I shop too much.
  17. Mrs. Kim clearly doesn't like Lorelei either.
  18. Mrs. Kim has her own form of funny. “It’s been six weeks, maybe it grew.”
  19. Lane and Lorelei make cute pilgrims.

  22. Oh, the he-said she-said! Todd, Lane, Dean & Rory?
  23. Luke is getting more lines!
  24. Lorelei needs to just come out and ask about the kiss jeez.
  25. How can anyone find anything in Doose’s?
  26. Luke looks good when he smiles!
  27. And he is Lorelei’s voice of reason.
  28. Dean looks like Christopher? Do we get to meet him?
  29. So many pumpkins in this town! They're everywhere.
  30. Chinese in the fridge? The fridge that doesn't work?
  31. That scene from 9 and half weeks was a good one.
  32. Lorelei is trying to be cool, I’m not buying it either.
  33. When a woman says fine… she’s not fine.
  34. Lorelei: “Chill out supermarket slut.” Totally something my mom would say!
  35. Rory is not gonna love it. She’s gonna be mad!
  36. And Lorelei has forgotten what it was like to be a teen.
  37. And now she’s made it about her. [face palm].
  38. Rory: “I’m gross and I have nothing to wear.”

  41. That table of "food" screams diabetes!
  42. Babette is holding Dean hostage!
  43. Tasting day? What store has this?
  44. And awkward… it’s hard to meet the mom. Especially before you know the girl.
  45. Lorelei: “And you have your basics, Microwave for popcorn, stove for storing shoes, refrigerator which is completely worthless.” The stove for shoes? Wait, what?
  46. Dean really is tall!
  47. Tupperware! Sookie brought a cake taker!
  48. You kicked Sookie out with the Pizza!
  49. Dean is kinda perfect for Rory… It’s painful but inevitable.
  50. Good call leaving them alone Lorelei.
  51. Rory really needs to stop running away.
  52. Oh, good a Rory freak out! Those are the best!
  53. Don’t push it Dean.
  54. Rory IS the Stars Hallow Sweetheart.
  55. He can read this family, that could help or hurt.
  56. Cute with the Thank you.
  57. Why is the aisle where the ant spray is a good aisle?

Final Thoughts:
Maid count at 7, no Friday night dinner this time.

This episode was cute.  The writers did a good job of making you understand the struggle between mother and daughter. We could feel Lorelei’s frustration at being left out of the loop and then her seriousness when delivering “the talk.” You could also completely understand Rory’s humiliation at her mom asking Dean on a date. A much as I don’t want to like Dean, he’s growing on me.  It must be the dimples.

This one gets 4 out of 5 Oompa Loompa’s for making me so immersed as a parent and making me remember what it was like to be the daughter.
